The Pan Asia Simulation Society in Healthcare (PASSH) conference was recently hosted by the School of Medicine (SOM) at the Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus. PASSH was established to promote the use of simulation in healthcare education in the Asia region. This year‘s theme was “Healthcare Simulation in Asia: Today, Future and Beyond” which looked at ways to strengthen healthcare education using simulation – with an emphasis on system integration, assessment, research, teaching and administration of simulation based education. “One of the enduring strengths of medical education is that a considerable proportion of training future doctors are devoted to teaching, learning and experiencing real clinical environments” said Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Hassan Said, Vice Chancellor & President of Taylor’s University. Professor Hassan went onto note that, “Taylor’s has embraced transformative teaching and learning as a bold initiative that will produce better learning outcomes.
