简介
大众传播是一门着重在通过运用各种不同的传媒与途径来传递信息给大众人士的学问。常用的传媒媒介就有报纸、杂志、电台、电视和和电影，来传播新闻与广告上的信息予广大的观众群。
世纪大学的大众传播（荣誉）学士学位课程提供学生牢固的基本知识和技能基础，使他们成为一名对媒体业有更深一层了解的媒体从业员或媒体用户。此课程让学生将传媒产业看作一种企业，教导他们有关大众媒体的技术问题，同时也了解传媒业如何像企业般运作。学生将发掘如电视/视频、新闻时事、时事上的制作、印刷、电台广播和电视新闻，桌面和线上出版方面的专业知识。此课程也注重“创造性和批判性思维”，学生能尽情发挥书面与口头上的沟通技巧。
就业前景
茁壮发展的传媒业对了解媒体业如何运作的人才有着不间断的需求。大众传播（荣誉）学士学位毕业生都具备直接受聘用的条件，在职场上发挥所长，其中包括：广播电台记者、记者、企业通讯人员、公关人员、节目制作、内容创作、编辑、撰稿人、创意总监、媒体策划、广告界人士、电视节目主持人、电台节目主持人等。此外，对传媒界有深入了解的毕业生可以前往外国或跨国公司工作。毕业生也可以继续修读硕士课程。
